  1. Product Version:
  2. AhsayOBM: All
    OS: All platforms

  3. Problem Description:
  4. When performing a file backup, the following warning message is received in the client log:

[YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss][warn] Element type "TYPE" must be followed by either attribute specifications, ">" or "/>". '\Directory' LastXMLFile='Directory\File'

  5. Cause:
  6. The message suggests that there is an invalid (un-readable) XML character found in the server file list downloaded to the client side.

  7. Resolution:
  8. To resolve the issue, please follow the instructions below:

    1. Open the batch file "ListBackupSetFile.bat" located in $Program Files\[DataLock Software]\bin using a text editor
    2. Modify the value of "BACKUP_SET" to the name of the problematic backup set
    3. Execute the batch file "ListBackupSetFiles.bat"
    4. After the process is completed, a "dump.xml" file would be created in the ${OBM-Install-Home}\bin directory
    5. Please contact our Support Desk at http://support.datalock.co.nz along with the "dump.xml" file for us to further investigate

Alternatively, you can also try creating a new backup set with these particular data.  If this is a large amount of data and you wish to perform a new DataDump, we will do this at no extra charge.
